Who We Are

                                                 Dr. Anjali Rao

Dr. Anjali Rao graduated with her BSc, MSc and PhD (Biochemistry) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, where she went on to serve as a Lecturer in Biochemistry. She joined Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal, India as a Reader and was subsequently appointed as Professor of Biochemistry. Over her 37 year academic career, she has guided 9 PhD candidates, 3 MD candidates and several MSc research candidates in Biochemistry. She has also authored 89 research papers in international and national journals. Since 2014, she has been working as a UGC Visiting Professor of Biochemistry at Mangalore University, Mangalore, India.

Dr. Anjali Rao is the primary force and foot soldier behind Sneha. She is a passionate educator who is interested in improving rural health awareness.

                                                 Chethan Rao

Chethan graduated with a BE (Electronics and Communication) from Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal, India and a MSEE (Microelectronics) from the University of Texas at Dallas. Since 2007, he has been working in the San Francisco Bay Area designing high-speed transceivers (SerDes) for networking and supercomputing applications. He has startup experience and has been through two successful acquisitions in the Silicon Valley. He is currently a Staff Analog Designer at Avago Technologies in San Jose, CA.

Chethan handles fundraising, partnerships and generates online and offline content for Sneha. Through Sneha, Chethan has been exploring ways to intersect technology with social impact.


                                                 Dr. Veena Kamath

Dr. Veena Kamath graduated with her MBBS from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, India and her MD (Community Medicine) from Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal, India. She served in Professor roles from 1999 in the Community Medicine Department at KMC, Manipal. She is currently the Head of the Department and Professor of Community Medicine at KMC, Manipal.

Dr. Veena Kamath provided valuable advice and guidance during Sneha's inception and continues to serve as its advisor.
